What to Expect
A structured, two-part training program combining classroom instruction with supervised live-fire practice — designed to meet New York's requirements and build genuine competence.
The Carry Safe NYC course is divided into two components delivered in sequence. Both must be completed to receive your course-completion certificate.
Classroom Instruction
The classroom session covers New York firearms law, safe handling fundamentals, storage requirements, use-of-force principles, and the responsibilities of concealed carry. Students complete a written assessment before advancing to live-fire training.
Live-Fire Training
Under direct instructor supervision at a licensed range, students apply classroom knowledge through hands-on shooting exercises. Emphasis is placed on safe handling, proper technique, and range discipline. All live-fire activity follows strict safety protocols.
The course covers the following subject areas across both the classroom and range sessions.
